Our aim is simple: a warm welcome, good hospitality and a commitment to offering a great holiday.

Open since 2004, Le Repos des Hiboux is a collection of 2 and 3 bedroom quality gites with a 12x6m heated swimming pool. Our gites are comfortable and well equipped for short holidays or long term rentals. Each have their own enclosed rear garden, perfect for families and pets (dogs allowed from 1st September until 30th June). In addition there is english satellite TV and WIFI accessibility. Our home and gites are located in the north of the Charente-Maritime, 45 minutes inland from La Rochelle. Villenouvelle is a hamlet nestled in open countryside yet having access to local amenities including, co-op, boulangerie, doctors, dentist, pharmacy, bar and restaurant only 5 minutes away.

The farmhouse and gites are set around a central courtyard. There is communal eating and play areas for all to enjoy, relax and socialise. Each gite enjoys the safety of your own enclosed garden with sun loungers and Bar-B-Q. There is a heated swimming pool with internal roman stairs and automatic safety cover, ideal for families with smaller children. The swimming pool area is easily large enough to allow sun loungers for all with a small garden area and shade alongside. Garden jenga and petanque are available for guest use.

Ideally placed for outings to La Rochelle, Rochefort, Royan, The Marais Poitevin and Cognac to name but a few, our holiday homes offer a relaxing base to explore the Poitou-Charentes region. Alternatively, you may wish to shut yourselves away and enjoy our heated pool (summer average temp 29/30°). All you'll need is a good book or Ipod and a bottle of sun lotion ..... perfect!!
