Terms & Conditions

  • Clients are requested to carefully read the terms and conditions and return a signed copy of the completed booking form along with a copy of the lead persons passport. By paying a deposit and/or rental the client implies complete understanding and acceptance of the terms and conditions of use.

    •
      • Bookings are provisional until the initial 20% deposit has been received. The balance must be paid no less than eight weeks before the first day of the holiday. Reservations made within eight weeks of the start of the holiday require full payment at the time of booking.

        •
          • In the event of cancellation prior to eight weeks before the start of the holiday only the booking deposit will be forfeited. Thereafter, cancellation charges will be the full rental. We recommend your insurance includes the cancellation of your holiday.

              • The damage deposit of £100 is payable to cover any damage to the property or contents (the property being the house and grounds). The client’s liability is not limited to this amount. The damage deposit will be refunded or accounted for as soon as possible, normally within two weeks and may be retained in the event of unpaid rent. We recommend your insurance covers any potential significant damage.
              • The rental period will commence at 16,00hrs on the first day and terminate at 10,00hrs on the last day. If you plan to arrive earlier, please let us know and we will do our best to have the property ready for you but no guarantees can be given.

                •
                  • The client agrees to be a considerate tenant to the owners and other guests and to take good care of the property and its contents. Therein, the tenant agrees to make good (or will arrange with us to make good) any damage, breakage or loss that may occur during the period of rental. Any inappropriate or hostile behaviour will result in the client being asked to leave the property immediately.
                  •
                  • The client agrees to vacate the property by 10am on the agreed date stated on the booking form. The property is to be left clean and tidy at the end of the holiday. On changeover days there is only time for a superficial check and a general clean. We rely upon the goodwill of our guests whose co-operation we greatly appreciate. Should the property be left in an unacceptable condition requiring a more intensive clean, we reserve the right to charge a fee of £20 per hour which will be deducted from the damage deposit.
                  •
                  • The client agrees not to smoke, nor to allow smoking inside the property at any time. If this is not adhered to it will result in a deduction from the damage deposit. Guests who wish to smoke are kindly requested to do so outside. Ashtrays are provided in the private garden and communal seating area.
                  •
                  • For the safety of EVERYBODY, clients are requested to carefully read the rules relating to swimming pool safety. Anyone found to be tampering with safety and pool equipment will be requested to leave the property.

                    •
                      • We will not be liable for any act, neglect or default on the part of any person nor any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience whether to person or property which the tenant or any other person may suffer or incur arising out of in any way connected with the letting or resulting from any other cause whatsoever. Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period. We advise you to arrange your own insurance to cover yourselves, your personal belongings and any significant damage caused whilst staying at the property.
                      •
                      • In the event of any property breakdown or breakages, the client is asked to report to the owners to enable repairs to be effected at the earliest possible time. Damages are to be reported as soon as possible and before guest departure otherwise deductions will be taken from the damage deposit. We will not be liable for any temporary stoppage in the supply of public services to the property nor in respect of any equipment or appliance failure (including WIFI).
                      •
                      • In the event of guests renting the gite for periods in excess of 8 weeks, rental is due 2 months in advance of each calendar month. We reserve the right to request all income owing for the agreed rental period in the event of early termination of the contract.
